Black, brown and beige

I'm packing for my trip to Melbourne tomorrow for work, and have just discovered that all the clothes I own that fit into the company's version of "smart casual" are black, brown or beige.

I kid you not. It's SO depressing. No happy pinks, reds or greens.

I've already put together 2 outfits for the 3 day conference, and I keep hesitating at putting together the 3rd outfit because I'm trying to avoid dressing in black, brown and beige the whole time. The last hour or so has gone like this:

1) Rummage through closet for something appropriate to wear not in those colours.
2) Give up and sit back down at my desk to surf the net.
3) 5-10 minutes pass and I think "Dammit, I should finish packing"
4) Go back to look through the clothes I've chucked out on my bed (the short list).
5) Despair that it's all brown, black or beige.
6) Repeat from (1)

Add to this dilemma the fact that I don't know WHAT handbag I'm going to carry, and this pre-work preparation period is pretty much a disaster- only slightly redeemed by the completion of my pre-work paperwork (I feel organised...in that department anyway).

You'd think that after spending 2 months in Singapore, a relative shopping mecca compared to crappy and expensive Sydney shops, that I would be all prepared clothing and handbag-wise...but NO! Grrrr.

Ok, well I'm currently in phase 3 of the abovementioned cycle, so I shall move on to phase 4...off i go...
