Old and cynical
I'm convinced my job hunting experience has scarred me more than I care to admit. Observe my reactions when presented with the following information:
X (just finished high school and going into uni this year) is doing psychology.
My reaction: "Psych grads end up jobless unless they're brilliant. X obviously doesn't want to get a job upon graduation..."
Y (a Commerce undergrad at USYD) is interning at PwC, but he's really aiming to get into Management Consulting.
My reaction: "Is Y even that smart? He hasn't got a hope in hell unless he's brilliance on legs! Dream on!"
Z (4th year out of high school) has tried computers, Bible College, writing, and now we discover, has enrolled in Chef school.
My reaction: "Well that's what you can do if your family is absolutely loaded."
Ergh! Cynical cynical cynical....it becomes me not.

LONG TIME NO SEE!!! I'm back!
When are we gonna meet up?! We really should eat together @ HV one day considering we..umm..live there pretty much.
How was your hols?! I see you've been blogging quite a bit since you've been home. Hope all is well.
Are you moving?! Wow! Where to?!
I know what you mean about jobs. Cassie n me couldnt even walk through Central in HK (CBD...where we interned last yr @ the various firms) without cringing and looking "fishy" and "suspicious". Argh! At least your hunt is over! I'm still...there...doing it! BLAH!
