20 (random) things about me

Got this tag from Judith to write 20 random things about me...(I'm ignoring the 2nd bit of the tag because, again, of the dearth in blogging friends.)

1. I have a blue mole on my left arm. Yes, it's natural. No, I don't know how it got there. Yes, it IS BLUE.

2. The most expensive pair of shoes I own clock in at $199.95 (Camper Twins). The second most expensive pair of shoes I own clock in at $160 (Diesel heels). Neither were full price.

3. From my law degree: a whole new way of thinking and speaking. From my commerce degree: familiarity with Option payoff graphs, and the efficient frontier; vague memories of the following: options strategies, option pricing, bonds, the ratchet strategy, CAPM, the single index model...errrr....would you believe that that's IT?? What a waste of a degree!

4. BUT I don't regret doing my commerce degree. It has increased my chances of landing a job (I'm good at pretending).

5. I hate our non-non-stick stainless steel wok. Stuff always ends up sticking because I don't season it properly! Bring back teflon!

6. When I get to Singapore, I'm looking forward to eating: roti pratha with cheese and green chilli, Indian rojak, goreng pisang and Bread Talk bread. Basically, all the food I can't get here.

7. My food cravings alternate amongst Indian, Thai and Japanese. Currently I'm on Japanese. Mmmm, sashimi!

8. When I have my own house, I'm getting one of those steam sprayers instead of your conventional iron/ironing board combo. So much more convenient! The convenience factor outweighs the none-of-the-appropriate-creases factor any day!

9. I like photocopying and other menial office admin duties. I could be a receptionist or a PA! (In fact, I'm definitely thinking of doing something like that after I've had kids and am returning to the work force...)

10. I have a tendency to write friends off, then regret it later. Luckily (or unluckily?) for all current friends, I don't have many at the moment, so I can't afford to write anyone off.

11. Somewhat ironically, if you don't give me reason to write you off as a friend, I never will. I'll keep thinking of you as 'my friend' and referring to you as 'my friend' until the 12th of Never, even if we haven't spoken forever.

12. I have songwriter's block. (Hence the dearth of songs posted.)

13. I talk to bf almost every night. S'pose it makes up for only seeing each other once a week.

14. I can be ridiculously competitve over the stupidest things, e.g. Monopoly. I looove Monopoly.

15. I can't believe I still miss school. I'm about to enter the full-time work force and I still miss school!

16. Thanks to the legal centre. I have mastered the art of fobbing off. I have no qualms about hanging up on someone if that's the way they'll be fobbed off!

17. I've cooked more doozy dishes (ones that didn't work out like they were supposed to) in my lifetime than I care to mention here.

18. I've had 4 car accidents - 2 where I crashed into the back of people, and 2 where they've crashed into me.

19. My hair is in status quo mode. I can't figure out what to do with it, so in the meantime, it's just growing and doing it's own thing! I also hardly ever brush it. My brush is currently in my car, and I have no brush in my room.

20. I need to lose about 5 kgs, as well as my absolutely atrocious gut. I must embrace the gnawing feeling in my tummy!!

Ok, Phoebe, I tag you! Here's one you should get without me having to explain it to you in real life...hehehehehehe.

It seems Phoebe is agreeing with you that you need to lose weight. In fact she totally agrees with you. Friends are nice sometimes... (haha I kid I kid).

Anyway forget the weight loss. Who else will totally pig out with me at nice places?!

I have a Jap craving too.

Maybe we should do Jap instead!!

And we still haven't gone to all you can eat Jap.

HEEEEYYYYY

I didn't mean it like that! I meant I need to lose weight too!! Hahahahaha

Let me clarify what I meant when I said "agree" - I meant I have the same personal feelings regarding myself about the things that Emmelyn mentioned!! LOL!

Phoebe is funny! Hehehehe. You don't need to lose weight! I've seen those super skinny Bettina Liano drainpipe jeans you fit into...

And Jen should stop being such a stirrer...hehehehe. I think I'm over my Jap craving. But have not yet developed a new one. So maybe that means we can still do Jap! Oh, btw, went to the sushi train at the bottom of the GPO. Very nice! (Classy!...but expensive......)
