Holler back
Greetings dear readers! (Come back, I've updated....come baaaaaaaaack...!)
I'm in Malaysia now, having travelled here by train after arriving back to Singapore from Bangkok.
Bangkok was lovely I thought- I'd definitely go there again- if only to start importing clothes to sell in Australia at a ridiculous profit! Stuff there is SO CHEAP. SO SO SO CHEAP. I managed to acquire quite a hefty list of stuff, including a chunky turquoise necklace (I found one just like I was looking for for a ludicrously cheap price), a pair of tailored Thai silk pants, several tops, more jewellery (more necklaces, a bracelet and 2 rings...no earrings though) and some very cheap CDs....real ones too!- I decided I didn't mind buying Delta (or Joss Stone or Missy Higgins) for A$11. (I'm grudgingly impressed by Mistaken Identity. Damn. Hehe.) Aside from the shopping spree...we didn't really get around to that much else. Went to the floating markets which were pretty cool but looked o-so-much cooler on Getaway (too touristy methought). The down side was that the city is pretty cruddy and dirty, and the pollution is awful- was walking outside during peakhour and I almost couldn't breathe. Also, traffic is terrible. Food was GREAT though, someone remind me to try make the pomelo salad...yummmmmmmmm.
I'm off to Dad's hometown where he was born this arvo...this small Malaysian town. Last time I was there I was tiiiiny, so it should be an experience.
Will be trapped in the no-internet house once I get back to Singapore (I fly back down there on Thursday), so I have no idea when my next update will be...hope you're all starting off your new years fantastically well!
