Three Year Plan

If you had asked what my 3 year plan was a few years ago, it would have looked like this:
  • 2001 (Age 19): Uni - continue commerce/law degree at UNSW
  • 2002 (Age 20): Uni - continue commerce/law degree at UNSW
  • 2003 (Age 21): Uni - continue commerce/law degree at UNSW

But now it's more like:

  • 2005 (Age 23): Uni - complete commerce/law degree at UNSW
  • 2006 (Age 24): ???
  • 2007 (Age 25): ???

How does one decide where they're going? I suppose I could hazard a vague picture at where I want to go and what I want to be doing, but the fact is, there's so many possible factors which I'll have to take into account which I haven't even been confronted with yet. I mean, look at that tsunami that just happened. Chances are that some poor soul was lying on that beach dreaming up their very own 3 year plan when that giant wave hit and washed them out to sea, never to return! To me, in view of things like that, it seems quite presumptuous to plan ahead 3 years!

Having said that though, there's definitely a benefit in setting goals and aiming for something, and I suppose that this is sort of what this 3 year plan business does- gives you something to aim for.

You know what, I reckon I'm just lazy to seek God. How terrible of me...and I say I want to live a life that is pleasing to God! Honestly...shame on me! =( I just pray that I would have a heart to seek God earnestly about what He wants me to do, whatever that ends up being.

For now though, I think my 3 year plan looks a bit like this:

  • 2005 (Age 23): Uni - complete commerce/law degree at UNSW
  • 2006 (Age 24): Find a job, fit College of Law in there somewhere, get engaged, save a big bundle of $$$
  • 2007 (Age 25): Continue saving my bundle of bucks, get married, sail off into the romantic sunset...

Hah!

(hehehehehheehee)
