Deflated

What a deflating sort of morning.

Generally, I wake up in the morning reasonably positive about what the day will hold for me. But as this day has progressed, my balloon of positive expectation has slowly but surely deflated as a result of the following:
  • My grandma gave away my black pepper chicken chung: A chung is one of those triangular pyramid-ish shaped steamed rice dumplings with stuff inside, for those of you not in the know. I bought this chung yesterday from Orchard, really interested to find out whether it was any good (because black pepper chicken isn't a typical filling), but woke up to the news that my grandma had given it to my uncle for his lunch. Grrrrrr.
  • Phantom of the Opera was crap: I was also looking forward to watching the less-than-legit version of Phantom of the Opera that my Aunt brought home, but when I watched it, quality was SOOOO CRAP that I turned it off after 10 minutes. That will teach me for watching dodgy Asian VCD versions of things.
  • I baked a crappy brownie: I'm going over to some friends' house tonight and baked a brownie to bring them- unfortunately, it didn't turn out like I expected (the top wasn't crunchy enough, grrrrrr- I think it's just the perfectionist in me kicking in because if I gave it to anyone else they'd think it was fine, I reckon). I think I'm going to go make another one.
  • I got a deflating email: Geez I'm sick of caring more about my bf than he cares about me, it really sucks! I'm going to go drown my sorrows in listening to Christina's Underappreciated on my mini ipod, hmph.

This day had better pick up OR ELSE!

Grrrrr.

Plah :(

Well if it's any consolation, I've just spent a perfectly beaut summer day holed up in the law building learning about the legislative material available on disability rights. And now its stormy and I'm tired, sticky and uncomfortable.

And smelly.

Listening to good appropriate music is so soothing hey

hello!

I know this is hardly consolatory, but I had the BEST day yesterday, which involved waking up very late, going to the beach, watching a DVD and a very fun and random soujourn around the harbour at night...hehe....

Hurry up and come back Em! I'm living with a crazy girl in a really big house and we need your company!
