Still 7/7 and Blowing the lid off

No rejections today...!! Would you believe it!!

But actually, I logged on to enlighten you all with some exciting news...well, I think it's exciting. Again it's the sort of thing that could go absolutely nowhere and the sort of thing that I should probably not get my hopes too high about...but heck, this feeling of expectation and positive anticipation comes around not often enough, so I reckon I should exploit it for all it's worth while it lasts!!

Went to my songwriting lesson today, and my teacher said that they're ready to take my song to some producers and get it recorded in a studio! Eek! And this will require an investment of $300 odd...apparently the idea is to go 3rds on the cost of recording (me, my teacher and the chick who's singing it). He was saying that if I don't want to pay upfront, then we can come to some other "arrangement"- one of which he suggested was him and the singer going halves on the studio/production costs, then giving them a co-writing agreement...(i.e. publishing it under all three of our names)...I don't think so!! =p After it's recorded, then they'll pitch it to record companies...wow. I know it's not much, but the fact that people believe in my song that much is awesome and humbling at the same time. And the possibility of showing it to industry type people is more than I thought could ever happen. (Well not that it'll definitely happen...but the possibility is definitely tantalising.)

Parents were very supportive when I told them, which was great =) And if anyone else would like to make an investment in me feel free to drop me a line! hehehe
