Follow-up

Shello all! Haven't updated for a while...time just scooted away, but here are some follow ups from my previous posts.

LAW BALL
All in all I had lots and lots of fun. It was so much fun getting ready with the other gals at Roz's place...there was a row of us in front of the bathroom mirror primping and preening...hehehehe. Food at the ball was pretty good for mass produced formal food (my steak was medium-rare surprisingly!). Everyone looked lovely. Band performance was pretty good I thought...thought my numbers were pretty ok too. The dance floor was packed and everyone was into it, so that was kinda good (the bad bit was cause I feed off the people watching me...and since most people were dancing and not watching, I had to power my own performance- not as much adrenalin!!)

Before we went on, we were all hanging out the back of the stage in some store room (which was packed with cereal, serviettes, mini-jam pots, etc etc etc...should have pinched some stuff!) and as usual no one talked to me!! =p hehhehee. Actually, they did a bit, the other chicks were telling me how I looked "really hot" and they kept saying so...so either they were being fake or were slightly tipsy or just really surprised..hehehe. While on stage, I saw a whole stack of people making out randomly...like...I was singing Superstitous for goodness' sake...that's not a making out song!! Quite funny.

Another random thing that happened was the band director was chatting to me before the performance, giving me a pep talk, and then was mentioning one of the other singers and goes "Oh, you know we're going out right?"...which was just so random...I mean...how was that relevant to anything!? And how would I know if they were going out or not?? Actually, I reckon he's just prone to those sorts of random lapses, because in typing that incident, I remembered another one when he was in my fed con class last session and he got up the front to make an announcement about a student concert they were having the next week. He said something like "So the concert starts at 5. So you guys will still be in class, but you can come down after. But I won't be at class though, I'll be down there." And Roz and I just cracked up...hehehhee. (I realise I may have done a totally inadequate job at communicating his randomness. Just ask me in person to do the demo, I'm sure it'll be more convincing!)

After the whole performance thing, I think I was just really tired cos I just felt like sitting there...but the night picked up when we went for afters. Actually, the organised afters were pretty crap (in this cruddy little pub- it was way too packed), so we ended up walking down to Cruise and chilling out there which was nice. Except for having to yell to conduct conversation. Good thing my voice was warmed up =).

IN OTHER NEWS...
In no particular order:
# How crap was Avril Lavigne's live performance. SO would not pay to see her...that's TWICE she's come to Sydney and just sat there singing/playing without saying anything except the obligatory "Thank you" after each song =p
# Still done no readings and it's week 4!
# Still not working and lovin' it! =)
