Glory to Glory

Lately I've been wondering
Where my life is going
Struggling to find
A path that is my own
I get so caught up
With what the world thinks I should be
But thankyou Lord
You've finally made me see

* That You're changing me
From glory to glory
And You're making me
A reflection of You
Recreating me
Into all that You want me to be
So Father God, I put my trust in You

Lately I've been thinking that
I don't understand
The places that You've taken me
The mysteries of Your plan
And I get caught up
With where I think my life should be
But thankyou God
You've revealed Your heart to me

I wrote this song in response to the thoughts in my last post. The thought just popped into my head (must have been God!) to write a song called "Glory to Glory"...which is a phrase that reminds me of this verse...2 Corinthians 3:18- "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

Even though I think my life is static, and that everyone else is going places except me, this song reminds me that God is always working in me to change me to be more like Him...and that day by day, He is bringing me to reflect more of Him and His glory, and that is the change in my life that really counts.
