Greetings lovely readers!
I finished my bag which I went off to sew after last entry. I like the pattern on it...then when I first sewed it together, it looked like a cushion cover. But now that I've lined it (I was lining it at 1:30 early this morning) and put straps on it's definitely growing on me. I recall that I didn't like my patchworky one till is was fully complete either, so there you go. What I have realised tho, upon completion, is that it is really quite "Wintery"- it's made out of red felt-y material, and together with the white flowers, looks decidedly northern-hemisphere Christmassy!...not that that will preclude me from wearing it now it's Spring, (O goodness, the idiots next door have got their hands on a megaphone and are now using the siren on it....ARRRRRGH!!!!!!) but I really should have thought of that before!
In terms of producing these commercially (on a tiny couture-type basis [hahahahah, couture, I'm SO getting ahead of myself!]), they're really pretty crude...need to get some refinement in before I can sell them for $60-70. You can get similar stuff like I'm doing from Thailand (or Taiwan, or China, or some other asian sweat-shop country!) for next to nothing. Hrrrrrm.
Tata!
