Continuing my recent trend of blogs based on TV as opposed to my life...

How funny was Australian Idol tonight?? Well, it wasn't entirely side-splitting. Only the young dude (Brandon? Brendon?) who sang "Better Man"...he was smiling smugly all the way through and it was just so raucously inappropriate! (e.g. "...I will grow *grin grin*...through this pain *hehehe, pain!*...")

The first chick was errr-ish: she didn't have a pop voice- more musical theatre. I hate how they do that sliding up to the note thing...
The second chick was also errrr: she really shouldn't have done Celine Dion...I mean, Celine Dion has a tendency to butcher her own songs, let alone someone other ameteur. Her voice was really shrill...esp the high notes.
The first R&B dude was good until the second R&B dude (Levi) got up, cos he was heaps better...had more of a stage presence.
Cle (the Jamaican chick) was ok...I didn't personally like her, but she was a whole heap better than the first two! She has this kind of brassy voice that I don't really like. Come to think of it, so does Marcia Hines. Hrm. BUT at least she can perform. (Cle I mean!) Which brings me to the final chick. She had a great voice but I didn't think much of her performance...nieh. I suppose she's more Michelle Branch than Britney! In that case she needs a guitar!

In other news, had Quiz Night the other night where we came 4th. Didn't find it overly that fun, I think it's because I wasn't really engaged with the night, getting into it. It was more a "O yeah, let's answer questions, fun fun...blah blah" type feel. I think it was because we were all not very engaged, even though we managed to come 4th (out of 22?). Also went to a blah blah wedding on Sat morning. Blah blah kind of says it all...

Ergh! I find myself censoring a lot of what I wanted to say (esp about Quiz night and the wedding) because of reactions some people (person) will have. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh. I'm holding all this annoyance inside!! Nooooooooooooooooo! Be prepared, O uni friends, I'm going to vent tomorrow in person!!!!!
