Intoxication

Office Christmas parties ahoy!

I know this is a little hobby horse of mine, but I don't understand why people get drunk. I mean...it might feel good to let off some steam and kick back, but, you know, WHY would you want to do something which caused you to do other things which you would ordinarily never contemplate? Why would you do something which made something which you KNOW to be a TERRIBLE idea seem like a pretty damn good one??

Seriously. It makes no sense to me.
