2005 in review

Since I have selected New Year's Eve to post my one and only December 2005 entry, I thought it would be fitting to make it a year in review. So here are the highlights and lowlights of my year (no particular order)

1. Finishing uni! Amazing! Who would have ever thought it would happen! I checked my "graduation status" on myUNSW the other day...it said "awarded"!!

2. The Job Hunt. I know the whole process started in March and ended around May, but it seems to be the one overarching thing consuming my life in 2005. Gah.

3. Dodgy church situation. Must get my act together!

4. Have put on so much weight that my dad has decided to put me on a diet of slimming shakes and broccoli when I get home. To think that I've never really worried about my weight til the last 2 years (because before then I was reasonably thin), and come 2006 I'll be on slimming shakes attempting to lose 10kg. *shakes head*

5. Managing to become even tighter friends with those I'm close to, probably as a result of managing to not speak to other friends for extended periods of time. Hello to all!

6. People my age starting to get married!! And this is primarily because my age is steadily creeping towards that age when people get married. Hmm. That was kind of reflexive. Oh well. I'm going to another wedding today (of all days!). See my other blog for the low-down.

7. Bf and I are still on track. Maybe he's resigned to the fact, but there's less freaking out about getting married on his part, which can only be a good thing!

8. New work places at CBA and at the legal centre. The legal centre was really enjoyable...glad I did it. Incredibly eye-opening. CBA (I was there for about 5 months) ended up being ok too...I felt like I stuck out like a sore thumb, but got used to it in the end!

I think that's it really! Happy new year everyone....see you in 2006, where I'm sure you'll be reading many full-time work related rants =)

Thanks for reading!
