I'm baaaaaaaack

Back after an incredibly arduous flight. Usually I'm pretty ok with night flights- sleeping on the plane in sardine class doesn't really phase me when I'm armed with my trusty inflatable travel pillow! But this time, it was a ridiculous hour (take off at about 1:20 a.m., with refreshments at about 2 a.m...my body was wondering why in the world I was feeding it at 2 a.m. and wasn't too happy at having to digest at that hour!), and we were seated at the emergency exit. If you're tall it's a Godsend because you can get full extention of legs there, but for me, the fact that I couldn't actually put my feet up anywhere was pretty frustrating.

Anyway, when I finally got home, I broke a cardinal rule of jet-lag recovery and slept for about 2 hours from 4:30 p.m. A big no no because it means when local bedtime really rolls around I won't be tired anymore. WHY is there no one to talk to on MSN now??...plah!

Other than that, the journey home was very smooth, with the check-in chick letting us go with our 33.5 kgs each (the stated maximum per person is 20kgs...) without comment, and the hand luggage screeners not making a fuss when we had 5 pieces of hand luggage between us, weighing, in total about 27kgs (the stated maximum each is one piece of hand luggage weighing a max of 7kg). Customs were also fine, with no probs with the stuff we brought in. (Interestingly, the whole customs declaration area smelled like dried seafood products- y'know, dried prawns, cuttlefish, silverfish...darn Asians!!)

So thank God for all of that!

I have loads and loads of crap which has been strewn all over my room- I almost have a whole new summer wardrobe- in fact, I think I do have a new summer wardrobe...as well as quite a few new necklaces and rings. ARGH! Where to house it all, I have no clue. O dear...

And on top of all that, my net connection has started playing up. Hopefully it's now decided to work for good now- had a few rounds of the ole' turning-the-modem-on-and-off trick. Don't stop working now!!

Anywayz, hope to catch you all soon around somewhere! Off to tidy up...ahhh, the joys of coming home after a 2 month stint overseas!! =)
