Yay, progress!
Remember how I was telling you here about someone using my song as a demo and it was off to the producers?
Well the almost 3 months of waiting to hear anything at all back from my songwriting teacher (I dislike calling him that 'cause I don't actually feel like he's taught me anything. He plays a mean keys though, and I was very appreciative when he harmonised/played a melody idea I had in such a way that it didn't sound dinky like when I do it! Unfortunately my own playing doesn't do justice to what's in my head sometimes, poo!), he finally gave me a update on what's happening today! I was really afraid it had stalled and one day he'd finally tell me, "O, we shelved that, it wasn't working".
So yeah, apparently the producers have been working on it and it "sounds beautiful" (their words, not mine!), and the chick who is singing it is going to lay down a guide vocal for it on Tuesday, and hopefully the whole track is finished up by the end of the year (which is scarily not far away).
Imagine if this song actually made it onto an album or radio...what a hoot! Especially considering the origins of the song...hahahahahahaha. He'll never know he's got a song out in the wide wide world about him! Hahhahhaaaaahhhahaaaha.

That's pretty cool! =) What you've said so far reminds me of this tv spot about shopping a song around. Good luck!
