2 degrees of separation

There is seriously 2-3 degrees of separation between every Asian Christian in Sydney. I'm not joking. If they do Commerce or Law at UNSW or go to a church which has "Chinese" in it's name, it probably breaks down to 2 at the very very most.

In my procrastination, I've been indulging in one of my favourite past-times: reading blogs of friends of friends (of friends of friends of friends...extent of separation depends on how much time I'm wasting that day!). It's amazing how many blogs I've surfed through where I think...'Hey, that person was in my XXXX class!!', or 'Hey, I've seen ZZZZ at church before! They are YYYY's friend!', or even 'I didn't know AAAA had a blog!' (when I actually know them and have surfed to their blog through their friends' blogs...).

Here's an example:
I read Sop's blog because I actually know her =).
From Sop's blog I occasionally read the blog of another person from her church.
From there, I happened to surf into this guy who I recognised from uni's blog.
From there, I surf into this chick's blog that I know from uni through Roz.
From there, I linked onto this chick's blog who is a friend of a friend from church.
From there, I found my friend from church's blog.

I find it all thoroughly strange! I wonder if anyone surfs randomly to my blog (I don't think so). I don't mind if I don't know you! I don't mind if I do know you! (If I minded on any count I wouldn't be here, would I!) I would kinda like to know that you were here tho, so drop a comment...but of course, it's your prerogative (O, Britney is going from bad to worse to really really crap...).

The moral of the story:
1) I have too much time on my hands.
2) If you are an Asian going to church in Sydney, don't post anything on your blog that you don't want people in your immediate circles to read because it's SO easy to get traced...double the warning if you go to UNSW and/or go to a church with "Chinese" in the title.
