Squeezing blood from a stone
Ergh.
Sometimes I actually enjoy writing essays- especially if I can put together a good, coherent argument that flows. I think back to last session when I was writing my research paper for Business Associations 1. I was churning out the pages, when I suddenly sat back and realised, "Hey, this is actually okay! I don't mind doing this!!" which was a big surprise at the time.
Not so this essay.
Writing this Law and Social Theory essay is seriously like trying to squeeze blood from a stone. All my potential arguments are "like tall buildings (lots of "flaws"...pun definitely intended!) and swiss cheese (lots of holes)" (remember those old debating adages! hehehe) And all the logic links I'm making are so tenuous. Add to that my reliance on a paltry few sources and my failure to adequately grasp the totality of Weber's concept of rationality (o here I go, sounding like my essay!) and this essay is a really hard slog.
I want to finish tonight dammit! I want to hand this in tomorrow!! =p
Back to work.
