Dum di dum

Couldn't think of what to call this one since what it will involve is me sitting here updating you all on my weekend. Perhaps "My weekend" would have been appropriate.

Well it all started on Friday with the advent of ADSL at our house...since then it's just been one big fat shambles with this, that and the other going wrong...=p. Stupid bigpond! I find it hilarious and telling that my 2 most common typos of bigpond are "bigpong" and "bogpond" hehehe. So I'm waiting here for bf to come along and rescue our home network from oblivion. Heeeelllpp! Actually, the attempt to construct our network took up most of my Sunday- I've never had so much to do with IP addresses in my life and I didn't know before Sunday that all these modemy routery thingies were configured using web pages. Learn something new everyday.

But continuing along my chronological track, church on Friday night wasn't too bad...I managed to shake off my awful mood by the time I left. So yeah, it was ok in the end, after all that whinging!

Then Saturday was my birthday. I figured out that I have this throwback from childhood- that your birthday is supposed to be some exciting and special day, and because of this attitude, I'd been bitterly disappointed in the past. So I woke up determined to think of it as a normal day at my leisure and I reckon it turned out heaps better for it. So that's the strategy from now on! I woke up...did a bit of recording (I tried playing the guitar on the track I was working on- goodness me I'm awful! After a bit I had to put band-aids on my last two fingers...they were killling!)...then I decided to bake some brownies and ended up baking these Coffee Liquour Brownies (I added double the amount of Bailey's called for....then it still didn't look enough so I added a good slosh straight from the bottle...hehe)- they turned out pretty yummy!...then had yum cha with my family and cousin...chatted on the phone to bf...then headed out for dinner at Credo with a few uni friends which was very nice...good company, good food, nice atmosphere. Thanks for coming everyone, I had a really good time =)

Then Sunday...no church because of the darn marathons...were supposed to visit another church but didn't end up going. So I spent the day wrestling with the computer...bah!
