Jury's out

(I just discovered that clicking on the compose tab of blogger gives rise to formatting options beyond my wildest dreams, including bullets and justifying...how I've missed you!)

I'm currently sitting in my Advanced Legal Research class...zzzz.

As I was discussing with Roz last night, I'm not sure whether I actually want a clerkship or not, and consequently, I'm also not sure whether or not I'm disappointed at not making the interview cut so far (I live in hope of the possibility, of course. Not.) On one hand, there are a million things I'd rather do this summer than have to be fake at work everyday, striving towards a graduate placement. On the other hand, I don't know if that's actually what happens and in all honestly, I don't have much of an idea what goes on in law firms. Hmm.

I was thinking this morning whether I would rather a clerkship interview or someone to record one of my songs (presuming they were mutually exclusive). Looking at it in isolation like that really skews my perspective (or renders my perspective clearer, depending on the way you look at it!) I think out of those two options I'd definitely prefer the latter...but then I think of all the ramifications and I'm umming and ahhhing. A little bit of forward thinking really gets in the way of single mindedly pursuing your dreams...
