Back with a vengance
I think I may have to mass email that I'm blogging again since I've left it so long.
Let me update you with what's happened in my life since I last blogged:
# Started uni (ergh- nothing exciting there!)
# Started playing with the worship band at church (semi-exciting)
# Quit leading DIG#C and started going to Blue Sky, the uni-aged people's group at church (most of you will already know what an absolute DRAMA that was- but I'm glad I'm there now. Actually, maybe it's more like 'I'm glad I'm no longer leading DIG#C'. Hmm!)
# Started and finished (sort of) a beginner's Streetfunk dance course (Yes, I am fairly un-co and yes it was very funny. Roz and I do a great 'square' move though...you should see it sometime!)
# Started working at good ole' Baku again (I've decided that I really could work in retail for a good proportion of my life...It's so mindless- I love it!)
# Bf went away to the UK (I'm coping quite well- much better than I thought I would)
# Booked in a trip to Europe!! (I'm flying to London then we're gonna tour Tuscany together...*insert excited yelps*)
# Started singing lessons (It's been reeeeaaally good. I'm so glad that I started at this particular school- most teachers there are Christians and so encourgaging. I really thank God for bringing this into my life.)
# Written more songs (well I kind of write in spurts, but I'm quite happy with what I've produced so far.)
# And most recently...got this gig singing at Law Ball next session (which is scarily exciting...I can't quite believe they think that I'm good enough!!)
I look back over this list and there's so many things that I've started doing in this "new phase" of my life- so many things that I'm doing now (mostly a lot of the music stuff) that I wouldn't have got the opportunity to do had I not have stopped leading (which took up a big proportion of time)...so, while I think some part of me will always be a leader, I'm really valuing these new opportunities and I am really thankful to God for opening them up to me.
So yeah...that's where I've been. How about you!?
