Here I am again trying desperately to avoid this friggin assignment! Argh!

When do you think you're old enough to actually fall in love...like, love in the REAL sense?

One of the kids in my youth group has as his MSN name "Glen loves Cassie"...I wonder what that actually means to him. Someone once said that the problem with teens and relationships is that you're old enough to have the emotional feelings of love, but not equipped emotionally to deal with the relationship yet (they said it a lot more succinctly that tha!). Man, if only we would just all wait til we were old enough!!- but then...maybe for some people, the bumps along the way are how they mature and become old enough. Hum.

What is love when you're that age? It's more than fuzzy feelings by then. Hopefully it's not just plain physical attraction by then too. (Hah, cynics would say it's more tha just physical attraction....it's just physical!) I guess it's about the other person making you feel good...getting your emotional needs (or some of them at least) met? I dunno, a lot of these kids (and heck, not just kids, there are heaps of people out there doing this) are just trying to fill voids in their lives with relationships, imperfect as they are.

And this kinda brings me to the other thing I've been thinking of. A friend of a friend (my age) got married yesterday (to a guy also our age). If I were to get married now, I'd seriously feel like I was throwing my life away...well....not throwing my life away, but giving myself only half a chance. And from what I hear (though taken with a decent pinch of salt) the girl isn't very confident in herself. If that's true, it makes me really sad...I mean, you need to know yourself!! It's hard to get to know YOU if you need to try and get to know someone else as well. I'd like to think that when I get married that I'll know myself fairly well, that there won't be any dark skeleton in the closet like issues waiting for me (or US!) to stumble upon. Argh! I hope it works out for them...

Ergh. You know those chips I was talking about last entry? I was reading the ingredients and one of them is (and I quote) "Chicken fat"....eeeeeeeewwwwwwww!!
