Greetings one and all.
Still slaving away on this assignment. It really is draining any creative juices which I might previously have expended on this blog!! So apologies for the scant reading that this has been lately.
Hmm. Have you ever met anyone who you would describe as "awkward" before? As if they're not entirely comfortable in their own skin, and consequently have these weird, affected ways of doing things? And whenever they say things, it's never quite spontaneous...always a little bit too well thought over. Hm...maybe awkwardness is just a function of the person judging.
Was over at Roz's place last night for the assignment...aii! It was quite depressing how inadequate my Investment Management Modelling skills were...quite appalling actually. ARGH! One of the upsides was the fact that I got to taste the Kettle Honey Soy Chicken chips and now am in a position to compare them to the Red Rock Deli Honey Soy Chicken chips...I like the Kettle ones better!! The Red Rock Deli ones are too honey-y and not chicken-y or soy-y enough. Still, that is not preventing me from munching them while I type. *crunch munch*
Hmph, my parents just came home with a new microwave and a new stereo. Both purchases stemmed from my sister's "condition". Microwave because our old one is as old as me and was probably leaking radiation like water through a sieve. Stereo because she wanted to listen to music while convalescing in the living room...grrr. The latter is a tad annoying cos I've been telling my parents that my room has required a new stereo since...year 11 I think (which makes it roughly 4 years since then). (To put this in perspective, I have always gotton the family hand-me-downs in terms of stereos and I think this one is about 10 or so years old- wouldn't be surprised if it was older- and the power button has fallen in so you have to use the remote control to turn it on and the radio pre-sets don't work so if you want to listen to the radio, you have to reprogramme it everytime.) (Interestingly, I have another family hand-me-down-stereo- but the CD player skips, pffft!! It was my sister's old one.) I've also been telling them that it doesn't have to be a mini-system or anything, I can live with a cheapie Palsonic one with a remote contol, a radio and a CD player!! But nooooo...and now they waltz home with one that we don't even need. Our main family hi-fi could just be moved out to the living room for her but no! Pah. Not fair at all! (Well, in the balance of life, I suppose it is far- you go through a crappy illness but you are compensated with material goods! Hmph.)
I guess I should grow up. But it's just one of those things that annoy me. Ergh.
Ok, should get back to assignment now...HEEEEEEELLLLLLPP!
ciao xx
