The best time to blog...

...is when I'm procrastinating from doing something.
And right now that something is a letter of advice due this Wednesday.

Happy August everyone.

Been feeling rather grown-up lately. Toured about 5-6 potential properties on Saturday. Talked a lot about mortgages and budgets. Not particularly fun, really. To be honest, it's a bit of a drag. It just occurred to me that out of all the couples I know who are recently married or getting married soon, none of them have really gone through this house and mortgage hunting business, and hence I've never heard first hand about such experiences. (Just the fun sounding wedding planning ones!) Well, as the resident trail-blazer in this area, it's not very fun. Just something that needs to be done, and kind of burdensome. And to give credit where it's due, it's not even like I've been the one doing the bulk of the work in this area (props to bf!).

Oh well! Can't expect everything to be fun. But maybe pre-marital counselling (which bf and I started today) might be! I bumped into our pastor's wife in the bathroom after Church ended today, and she goes to me "Oh! I heard you're starting the pre-marital counselling programme!", to which I mumble something about not knowing what to expect. She smiles brightly and goes "Oh it will be lots of fun!". So far all we've done is a long survey about our relationship - we get the results next week, should be interesting at the very least!

And no, I'm not engaged. The rate we're going, we'll have planned half the wedding by the time I am though. Mieh.

You know what? I'm tired of thinking about this kind of thing. I'm going back to my letter of advice.
