All earringed out
I don't think I've mentioned it previously, but Roz and I of Random Frill fame (in a very loose sense of the word!) are in the midst of filling an order we had for 100 pairs of earrings and pendants for a party tomorrow night (they're giving them away as gifts, and we're charging them material cost only).
But because of a comedy of errors, we're now pulling out the stops to make not just 100, but as much as we possibly can so we can sell stuff on the night. I have this sense of paranoia that people won't like our stuff!! I'm making the lucky door prize at the moment (a matching earring and necklace set) and what if the winner opens it and goes "Ergh, this piece of crap is my prize??" Egads!
I was sitting in my pod at work typing up hastily scrawled meeting minutes when my performance manager popped in to chat. As we were chatting, I saw her eyes wonder over to my page of minutes, and she casually commented "Oh, is that your writing?"
Now I know it was more than idle chit-chat because she's told me she's studying graphology at the moment- i.e. the study of handwriting as an indicator of a person's personality. I'm not too sure I'm too comfortable with the thought of my boss spying aspects of my personality through my handwriting which I would not intentionally disclose, but aaanyway...she was commenting that if your signature represents how you see yourself, and your handwriting represents how others see you, and hence that if your signature looks nothing like your writing, then there's a disparity between how you see yourself and people's perception of you.
Now after that digression, the point I wanted to make was that I might come across as pretty confident, but as you would know from my ramblings, I'm actually just a bundle of inane insecurities, as demonstrated above!!
....hope people like the earrings/necklaces..........
