Umbrella is a funny word
Argh! I had a post all ready to go this morning, but Blogger ate it! (Greedy Blogger! Naughty!)
Anyway, I've used up all my coherence on that post, now lost to oblivion, so I shall put some tantalising (or maybe not) snippets of my thoughts here for your perusal:
1. I sent off my first graduate application today. It's a BILLION times worse than clerkship applications, even if they are essentially the same thing. Worse because (a) there is less room for error - if I screw one up, there's only 4 more jobs out there I can apply for, as opposed to 15 more clerkships I can try for; (b) I've invested so much more of my time and effort into this ONE application than I spent on the total applications I sent off last year...I'm trying to prevent it as much as I possibly can by not getting my hopes up, but some part of me will definitely be trodden on if it goes nowhere =(. Though, at the same time, remembering that God knows best - I keep looking back to the days at the end of year 12 when I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted a Co-op scholarship to do just straight commerce, and I was pretty disappointed when I didn't get it...but I am SO THANKFUL I didn't get it, because I would have HATED IT!
2. After considering all my options (well, the ones that presented themselves to me, heh) at careers fair today, I conclude that I really really really just want to be a lawyer, as nice as all the other options sound. I mean, if I wrote it in my time capsule in year 10, it must be true, right??
3. All these blogs are on the move! 2 friends of friends blogs that I used to read have shifted...my options as to things to read when procrastinating are rapidly diminishing! Noooooooo! Come baaaaack!!
4. Funny incident today in the rain: Was walking out from uni with Jen, both of us with our umbrellas up, when someone accosts me and says very rapidly: "Can I share your umbrella with you, I'm walking out to my car this way as well, can you believe I forgot my umbrella.." all while making herself comfortable under the shelter of my umbrella. And here I was thinking..."Do I know this girl!?!". And after I reached my car, she bounded out from under my umbrella to under Jen's umbrella....hehehehehehhee.
Umbrella is a funny word. Hehehehehe. I think I shall make that my post title!
G'nite all =)

And she was only under the shelter of my umbrella for the distance of about 4 cars. She asked where my car was, I pointed and she said "my car's down the street down there". Unfortunately for her, I didn't feel sorry enough for her to offer to drive her down or walk her down (walk her down!! are you out of your mind in that crazy wind and rain???)
I wished her a goodluck. hehe =P
