A post about you
In light of the dramas of this week (which you can see for yourself in the 2 posts preceeding this one), I'm wondering who exactly is reading my blog. I came up with the following few groups (I really wanted to give them witty names, but I'm at a bit of a loss at the moment!)
...which one do you fall into?
Group 1
These are the people I depend on to keep my blog up and happening! They are people I consider close friends, even though I may not see them a lot, or even talk to them a lot. They interact with me on my blog or talk to me about what I've written in *gasp* real life!- be it to laugh at my inanity, offer their opinions or encourage me. I know that they're reading, and I'm intensely grateful that they are reading. To you I say thank you so much for sharing the journey with me, I love you all heaps.
Group 2
These are the people I will never meet or talk to in my life unless some freaky coincidence happens. You don't know me and I don't know you. To you I say welcome. I'm glad that you're finding that you can while away some of the day by reading my ramblings =)
Group 3
These people are acquaintances- usually 2-3 degree of separation friends, or people I know but don't have any huge interaction with. Maybe I might know your name. We'll probably end up a some 21st's together and we might make some small talk. We'll probably never be close enough to discuss anything I talk about here. Hello! You guys are welcome too. As well you should be, because I like surfing 2-3 degree of separation blogs as much as the next person with too much time on her hands =)
Group 4
These are people who I actually know and I would consider a part of my life in real life, but who don't interact with me concerning this blog either online or in real life, and I don't know you're reading. I am scared of you. For the most part, if I could, I'd block all your IP addresses or something from this website. Not because I don't like you, or don't trust you (maybe we're just not at that level yet in our friendship?). It's just that it's way way way too easy to get the wrong idea about me here. I'm concerned that you'll take something I say on this blog, try and match it up with what you know about me or my life, and end up with a picture of me that is totally wrong.
For example- if I complained about my relationship with my bf on my blog, and then you saw me at a club (try not to choke those of you who know me!) having what looked like a very intimate conversation with another guy, you might conclude that I was about to cheat on my bf and was thus a dirty ho, which would (of course!) be totally ridiculous. I know that's an extreme example, but do you kind of get what I'm saying here??
I know I was saying last post that I don't believe that there's such a thing as "blog ettiquette", but as people I consider my friends, I would appreciate it if you would let me know that you're reading this. Don't lurk...let's do this thing together! At least then I can post knowing that stuff I write won't be misconstrued by people I really value, and we might be able to grow in our friendship. But please...don't lurk.

So, having said that, I would be much obliged if I could take a general survey of my readers. Please participate by posting a comment which says which group you belong to. No names required (though you might want to include yours)- just a number would be quite quite sufficient (though if you'd like to add some feedback, go for it!). Thanks heaps!
(There's nothing I can do to compel you to help me out here, but I would be really appreciative. Thanks again =)

Argh!!
I'm having much difficulty in choosing between the groups. I am extremely confused - wayyyy too many groups to choose from and so following (and also because I typically refuse to belong to any mainstream group), I shall form my very own group. Group 5 - The Jen Group. A person who yes, does laugh at Em's "Inanity" but willingly laughs at herself to in the process usually due to agree-ance (?). Oh yes, and hopefully a person who belongs to real life as opposed to a fake one. =P
O I didn't know Gail read! Hello! =)
Group 2

Hmm... i'm shooting for an entirely new group... just for me!
Hey em.. whats with women and categorising? not in a mean or condescending way... its just the majority of girls that I know are into categorising everything in their lives to the most minute of details... where as with us guys.. its kinda like, there are your mates.. and then there's everyone else... (again i'm not taking a stab at your blog in any way).
Oh and with your walking on eggshells thing...
Let the world feel the weight of who you are, and let them deal with it. :D

Ello ello, long time no see!
About the categorisation, I suppose in this instance it was for ease of reference for my (very small it appears!) audience. However, for myself, I think I put most things in categories because I'm an analytical sort of thinker (blame the law degree) and that's just the way I process the world. I'm not sure if it's true that all girls do that with their friends or not tho!
