A fist shaking in the face of technology

ARRRRRGH

Stupid PC's!

My PC has kicked the bucket. At first it was making these weird grunting-clunking noises (like something was getting caught in the fan inside the computer), then a day after it first started making those noises, it decided to randomly reboot itself and then decided it couldn't find it's Operating System. Gr. It found it after I restarted it, but these grunting-clunking noises have recurred a few times with the subsequent random reboot, so I'm a bit afraid it's gonna finally die beyond revival on me, taking my data with it. So until I can be bothered to transfer everything I hold dear off that comp and onto somewhere else, I'm refraining from using it.

Furthermore, my sister's laptop (which is less than a year old...) is also doing these random reboots. Except those are more like "System has an error and will restart in XX seconds" - then it does this countdown thing and restarts on you. BAH. I hate it when computers start randomly doing things for no discernable reason. Like, if I do something that causes the problem, at least I have some idea how to fix it. But these random reboots...I have no idea. Grrr!!

To complete the mess, I'm trying to buy a new computer from the Dell website (to replace the old PC)- BUT it's the last day of this deal, and there must be mega traffic on the site, because I can't get through to their friggin on-line store but the deal is only available from the online store....GRRRRR.

The moral of the story?

I LOVE MY MAC!! It hasn't turned random on me yet!
And it's so pretty...that's an added bonus =)
