When I was 20...
Last weekend's Good Weekend was the 20th Anniversary Issue, and included little vox pop-esque interviews with celebrities based along the following questions.
So, to get a little more audience participation in this blog (if you scroll down you'll see my recent posts have indeed been comment free!), share your answers to the following questions in the comments section! (Humour me please, otherwise this will look really pathetic! =p) Enjoy!
When I was 20 I lived at home with my mum, dad and sister
in Connells Point (lovely area but way too far away from stuff!).
I was in love with my boyfriend! (It's been 3 years, 4 months, 19 days and counting...)
I was a member of the DIG#C leadership team...there were traumatic bits, but now the happy memories have glossed over those.
I was reading my Criminal Law and Contracts notes. Yes, I used to read for class (albeit sporadically) back then.
I listened to my CD collection, since my car CD player wasn't broken back then!
I played keys with Deluje the short lived band =).
I did too much out of obligation, or because someone told me to, or because I thought it was expected of me
and I never, ever got drunk, had sex, went to a club, smoked, took illicit drugs. Still haven't!! =)
(Geez, it was really hard thinking back 2 years!! heheeh.)

OK, now that I have sorted out exactly when I was 20yrs of age since my memory is rapidly deteriorating from selective-amnesia..wait..is amnesia loss of memory or shortage of red blood cells? Oh whatever, you know what I mean.
When I was 20 I lived a very silly life
in Sydney, and most typically in the city at night.
I was in love with myself, and when I wasn't feeling so loving, I loved home and my Disney animations.
I was a member of Ice-cream-aholics anonymous...I don't think I was a member of anything..well, not that I can remember anyway! Oh! Fitbodz, except I never went.
I was reading Harpers Bazaar and Reader's Digest - a very unlikely combination.
I listened to whoever was on the phone on the other end.
I played Bounce Out in Yahoo Games.
I did too much procrastinating which saw the year quickly pass me by or giggling
and I never, ever thought I'd be thinking back to the age of 20 after 2 years to realise I can't remember what I did nor realise that I should have been a whole lot sillier so that maybe, just maybe, I'd remember very silly moments well enough to share them.
at what point of being 20 should I answer from? It's a whole year!
okay, okay...
I lived in ... Sydney's north-western suburbia with no phone reception in half my house.
I was in love with ...(wiped from memory)
I was a member of ... Honi Soit's editorial team at Sydney Uni. I also joined Fitness First!
I was reading...twenty emails a day, five or six reviews a week. You'd be suprised how many people have lost the ability to spell or construct grammatically correct sentences with the advent of spellcheck.
I listened to...too much Justin Timberlake, not enough U2.
I played...drums in the church band.
I did too much....people pleasing
and I never ever...had a 21st.
Hehe. the thing that kills places like Connells Point and adjoining is the crap public transport!!!!
I have to ask my bus driver to divert and sometimes I get those looks like - "darn it I gotta make a loop into your area"...
I'll say! At least the bus driver obliges =)
The car is indispensable I say!!
