The miraculous mood-lifting magic of the choc-mint cupcake

Grizzling on the way home from the legal centre today, I was all prepared to come home and write a thoroughly pissed off post about how crap this afternoon was.

The crapness started when I called the stupid level 10 Law School admin woman to see if I could still pick up my exam papers from last session after Roz told me that she had called earlier in the week and gotten hers set aside. WELL! It was OBVIOUSLY WAAAAAAAY TOO MUCH to even ASK about, because the cranky Asian woman (the cranky Asian women at the desk are the bane of any UNSW Law School student's existence...well, unless you butter them up by being super super polite, dropping in the occasional knowing Cantonese phrase, complimenting them on how beautiful they look today, and other such dignity depleting, pathetically pandering exercises (wow, alliteration is a great literary device!)) practically chewed my ear off and spat it out over the phone, totally unnecessarily. There was ABSOLUTELY NO NEED. She could have just said "Sorry, I can't help you with that", but NO! She got her jollies by totally earbashing me about how I was in 5th year, and I should know better and how there had already been many many late requests and blah blah blah blah blah. I wanted to slam the phone down on her, and in retrospect, I really should have, because she didn't have my name. Heh.

Anyway! You would have been bombarded with a much more negative post, if not for today's saving grace: my cupcakes from Cupcakes on Pitt. (Actually, there was another saving grace today - the fact that the subpoenas Phoebe and I filed today actually got filed with minimal incident. But that's not nearly as interesting as my cupcake.) I came home pissed off about the level 10 woman and about the boring 2nd half of my day in general. But as soon as I bit into my delicious choc-mint cupcake, for some odd, strange reason, I began to feel HEAPS better. More energised. More positive! It's amazing! The cupcake itself had mint icing on a fluffy-but-still-moist chocolate cake, sprinkled with chocolate flakes. Yum! If you want to try the miracle cupcakes, Cupcakes on Pitt is a little cafe, basically in the middle of nowhere on Pitt St, between Bathurst St and Park St. The window is full of yummy looking cupcakes...I had a hard time deciding which ones to get and bought choc-mint on the recommendation of the girl at the counter.

All this leaves me wondering exactly what effect my cookies and cream cupcake will have on me...

Can they make cupcakes with coloured LV logos against a white background?

Or a giant cupcake. Maybe I can put in an order for a giant cupcake. I want my giant cupcake!

Hehehhee.

Had a mental image of someone eating an LV cupcake...wearing those LV shoes (the white ones with the little coloured logos attached), carrying an LV bag (coloured logos on white, of course)....how tragic would that be...

[Thankfully, I don't think they make LV clothes with that fabric.

Though on second thought, I'm sure there's a few hundred market stalls in Thailand/China/Korea selling them. Heh.]
